In September 2026, Iten Defense became part of NP Aerospace, bringing together two highly complementary businesses with a shared commitment to delivering advanced survivability solutions.
NP Aerospace is a global armour technology manufacturer and vehicle systems integrator with 100 years of engineering heritage and extensive expertise in advanced composites and protection technologies. Together, with manufacturing facilities in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada, our joint capabilities span personal armour, platform survivability, vehicle systems and integration, and through-life support.
Together, NP Aerospace and Iten Defense combine advanced materials expertise, engineering, manufacturing and integration capabilities to deliver innovative, mission-ready protection solutions for military, law enforcement and security customers across land, maritime and aerospace domains.
Our Story
OVERVIEW
Iten Defense, LLC was established in 2019 following the acquisition of the defense operations of Iten Industries, Inc. While our name is new, our legacy is built on decades of experience and innovation in composite armor. Headquartered in Ohio we carry forward a tradition of engineering survivability solutions trusted by military and law enforcement agencies worldwide.
WHERE IT STARTED
Our roots began with high-performance fiberglass ballistic panels designed to withstand projectiles, ricochet, heat, and fire — protection proven in the most demanding missions. Over the years, this foundation expanded to include advanced aramid and Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) products. Today, Iten Defense manufactures a wide range of composite armor materials, from complex shapes to some of the industry’s largest high-pressure panels, delivering cutting-edge protection across land, sea, air, and personal applications.
